(6/14/24) For the first time I experienced hand rolls that were not wrapped properly. My server told me that there was a new chef. Perhaps he's not up to speed yet. I'll have to remember to ask for a seasoned chef next time. Apart from that hiccup, everything else has been flawless. I ordered sashimi for the first time. It looked so beautiful. The salmon was beautifully marbled and the shrimp was butterflied nicely as well. The roe was a treat that I wasn't expecting. Everything was very harmonious. I'm looking forward to my next meal.

Eat in. Its a small place, they get busy but quiete reasonably so. The sushi is top quality. And you are guaranteed good food at a minimum. At the maximum. You'll be served and dined at a capacity that would make heads spin. Im a sucker for a good sushi place. This one is definitely a top five for me.

I just wanted to come on here and talk about how much my roommates and I love this place. We come here about once a month for all you can eat. Leading up to our trip, we talk about how we are excited nonstop. At the restaurant, we talk about how happy we are. When we go home, we talk about how good it was. My friend kasey has truly fell in love here. She talks about the Carolina roll nonstop. Breakfast lunch and dinner needs to be Carolina roll. Anyway, just showing our appreciation for this slice of heaven, reasonably priced at $25.

Have done Dine-In and Takeout from the place. The Dine-in buffet is an affordable option to enjoy different variety of sushi. The service is good and the ambience is casual.

Came here on. Saturday afternoon and there was a 20 minute wait but were seated a lot earlier. All guests must be present before being seated. Extra charge for uneaten food. Food was very fresh and full of flavor. Hot food came out hot. Server was very attentive. Restaurant was clean, busy and crowded. Highly recommend!

We ate here for their soft opening. They did a great job. Everything looked organized even though they were really busy. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 with no problems. It was cool to see how they transformed the restaurant from the one that was there previously. They got out our food out fast. The sushi was as fresh as other locations. The hibachi was full of flavor. I'm so happy that there's a Mr. Tokyo in Greensboro now. It's a great price for what you get.

Look out! I just found my go-to sushi spot in Charlotte. The All-You-Can-Eat option for only $23.99 is an absolute steal. With other sushi restaurants asking $13-$15+ for ONE ROLL, you quickly get your money's worth at Mr. Tokyo. The best part is, they don't skimp on quality! I can't say its the best sushi I've ever had, but it is pretty solid and perfect for when the craving hits. Also offered on the All-You-Can-Eat menu are hibachi/teryaki entrees, lots of appetizers, soups and salad. Go early and expect a wait! We tried to get in at 6:00pm on a Friday night and it was an hour wait, so we returned at 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and it was STILL an hour wait! Not a big deal though. They add you to an online text message system and you can watch your spot in line. We ended up only waiting around 45 minutes while walking around some shops in the strip mall. Big fan.

Mr Tokyo is an all you can eat sushi restaurant in Charlotte that I've now been to twice. In terms of the food, the sushi is ok. You shouldn't expect high end sushi at an all you can eat restaurant but I can satisfy a craving for sushi if you have one. They also have all you can eat hibachi as well Some tips: - order a few rolls at a time. Any uneaten roll will add a charge on your final bill. This is to reduce waste and excess - make sure to order the Mr. Tokyo bowl if you like salmon - also make sure to order the yellowtail

I'm so glad that we found this place! I love sushi and have come to accept that there's not much like the sushi buffets at home in South Florida where you can go to the bar again and again to grab what you want. I like the setting of Mr. Tokyo and how you order everything you want and it's made fresh. It makes for an elevated AYCE experience. The atmosphere itself is definitely more on the casual side but that doesn't mean you can get dressed up and treat dinner as a special date night. My boyfriend and I had a very friendly, patient and attentive server during our visit, which only added to the fact that we were pleased and surprised by the quality of the food. They've got a great selection of sushi and you can choose rolls, nigiri or sashimi (extra charge for sashimi and select other items). I'm mainly a salmon lover but I do enjoy a variety of different types of fish. I was not disappointed! It's also a plus that appetizers are part of the AYCE package as well. Even the non-sushi eaters can find some items on the menu for them. It's a small selection but they have a section that offers fried rice, udon noodles and your choice of hibachi or teriyaki proteins. All in all, a great experience that exceeded my expectations.

We came in mid-day on a Sunday expecting a standard sushi lunch. Much to our surprise (and delight), it's All-You-Can-Eat Sushi & Hibachi!! Good thing we were hungry. For about $24 per adult, you can order off of an expansive menu which includes appetizers, hot dishes, nigiri, and specialty rolls (including hand rolls). What a deal! Be careful though: any sushi that you don't finish will be charged. I recommend ordering a bit at a time to ensure that you aren't wasting any food. Everything we had was great and made fresh-to-order! Seaweed salad and shumai as well as hand rolls and maki. I really liked the Momo Roll, which has some sweetness from the eel, crabmeat, and mango, along with spicy mayo, and is rolled in soy paper instead of the traditional seaweed. The two of us could only eat so much (2 rolls and 1 handroll each, plus the 2 apps we shared), and I'd love to come back with a bigger group to try more of the menu.
